  • How can I arrange to attend the conference dinner?
    On the IPIG Conference website when you register to attend the meeting there is also an option to purchase a ticket for the conference dinner.
  • When should I purchase my conference dinner ticket?
    Ideally you should buy your ticket on the same day that you register for the meeting. We will be finalising numbers for the dinner 1 week before the meeting.
  • What is the Conference Dinner on the 18th of May for?
    The conference dinner will be held on the first evening of the conference at The Crown Hotel to give everyone a chance to meet clinical colleagues, the meeting sponsors & the IPIG Board & faculty. It’s a superb opportunity to network with colleagues who share the same challenges in practice when treating PNH patients.
  • What will be served at the Conference Dinner?
    The dinner will be a sit down 4 course meal which will include wine and water. There will be an additional bar where you will be able to purchase other beverages as you wish. The menu for the event is yet to be finalized but your dietary requirements can be catered for as long as you inform us when you register for the meeting.
  • Where is the Conference Dinner on the 18th being held?
    The dinner will take place at The Crown Hotel, the same venue as the conference.
  • What time does the Conference Dinner start on the 18th of May?
    The dinner will commence at 1930 pm with dinner being served at 2000hrs.
  • What is the dress code for the Conference Dinner?
    There is no dress code and many people may attend wearing the same clothes they wore for the conference event
  • What happens if I have any dietary requirements?
    If you have any dietary requirements, please ensure you complete the registration in good time where there will be an opportunity to share your dietary needs with us
  • WHEN IS THE IPIG PNH CONFERENCE BEING HELD?
    The conference will take place on Thursday 18 th and Friday 19 th May 2023. The meeting will run from 0830 – 1800 on day 1 and 0830 – 1400 on day 2. All times are stated in GMT

    The conference will start at 0800am and finish at 1800pm

  • Will there be tea/coffee breaks during the conference?
    Tea and coffee will be served in the morning, lunchtime, and afternoon each day of the conference
  • Will lunch be provided on the days of the conference?
    Yes, lunch will be served each day of the conference, if you have any dietary requirement, these should have been included in your registration to the conference
  • What happens if I have any dietary requirements?
    When you register for the meeting there will be an opportunity to share your requirements with us
  • What language will the conference be spoken in?
    The conference programme will be conducted in English
  • Can I access the conference virtually?
    No – the conference is an in-person event only
  • Will notes be available from the conference?
    A notebook and pen will be provided for you so that you may make any necessary notes throughout both days of the conference.
  • What do I need to bring for the conference?
    On arrival, you will need to have a method of identification so that we can get you booked in. Once booked in, you will be presented with a conference bag. This will include, notebook and pen, water bottle and lanyard. Tea, coffee, and lunch will be provided on both days of the conference and therefore you will not be required to bring anything else other than items of your own preference and for your own comfort.
  • What do I need to wear on the days of the conference?
    Your comfort is our main priority, so whatever you feel comfortable wearing throughout the day. Please note if you are walking to the conference that the road and paved areas can be uneven and quite hilly. We would advise you to wear appropriate footwear. As this is the UK it may also be advisable to bring an umbrella and coat!
  • DO I NEED TO BOOK MY OWN TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION?
    All delegates are required to book and pay for their own accommodation and travel.
  • HOW DO I BOOK MY TRAVEL?
    Whilst you can of course simply book your own travel should you need support in booking please contact Lizzie Ellam, Travel Counsellor.  Lizzie is based in the UK and has 10 years of travel experience to assist you in booking your travel logistics.   • HOW DO I GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CONFERENCE?
    Harrogate has a mainline railway station which is an 8-minute walk to the conference venue – The Crown Hotel. The nearest bus station to the conference is also in Harrogate which is within a 7-minute walk/4-minute taxi ride to the conference venue.   • IF I WISH TO STAY IN A HOTEL, WHICH HOTELS ARE NEAR TO THE CONFERENCE?
    The conference organisers have arranged for a limited number of hotel rooms to be available for IPIG delegates at the following hotels for a reasonable rate – please quote ADFINITAS MEDICAL when booking or use the link on the website travel page. The Crown Hotel (The conference venue) £98 per night - Bed Only £108 per night - Bed & Breakfast The Crowne Plaza Hotel £135 per night - Bed & Breakfast ( a 10-minute walk from the conference hotel )
  • ARE THERE OTHER HOTELS IN HARROGATE I COULD USE?
    White Hart Hotel situated on Cold Bath Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG2 ONF the hotel is within a 1-minute walk of the conference hotel. The Studley Hotel situated on Swan Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG1 2SE. This hotel is within a 3-minute walk of the conference hotel. The Premier Inn situated on Springfield Avenue, Harrogate,HG1 2HY. This hotel is within 10-minute walk of the conference hotel.   • CAN I PARK AT THE CONFERENCE?
    Car parking at The Crown is very limited and is on a first come first served basis. Parking at the hotel is chargeable at £12.00 per night. If you do park at the hotel, you will need to advise the reception team that you have parked onsite and obtain parking permits for your stay. If the hotel car park is full, then we recommend the following alternatives: • Montpellier Shoppers (Postcode for Satnav HG1 2TF) – 2-minute walk away - £11.00 per 24 hours • Jubilee Car Park (postcode for Satnav HG1 1DJ)– 5-minute walk away - £14.00 per 24 hours There are also several off-street parking options also available close by: Cornwall Road Harlow Moor Drive Duchy Road. Please check any parking restrictions before leaving your vehicle. We have a facility to store luggage at the hotel, you are more than welcome to drop your luggage with us prior to parking the car.
